Your October Check-In
How are you, really?
When we’re out walking and pass someone we know, we often exchange the familiar greeting:
“Hey! How are you?”
“I’m good! How are you?”
“Good!”
And we keep walking.
But have you ever stopped to think about how often we ask that question without really expecting an answer? Or how often we say we’re good out of habit, even when we’re tired, overwhelmed, or just not feeling like ourselves?
So, as we head into October, I want to ask you a different question.
On a scale of 1–10, with 10 being excellent, how are you doing when it comes to your health and well-being?
Do you have the energy you want? Are you sleeping well? Have you been making time for movement, nourishing your body, connecting with people you love, and doing things that bring you joy?
It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and put our own well-being on the back burner. Sometimes we don’t even realize how far we’ve drifted from the habits that help us feel our best.
With October here and the busy holiday season just around the corner, I thought this would be a good time for all of us to pause for a moment and check in with ourselves.
Not to judge where we are or add more things to our to-do lists, but to recognize what’s going well and where we might want to give ourselves a little more attention.
So, let’s take a few minutes to check in with ourselves!

Reflect & Reset
Take a moment to consider your answers.
What’s going well? Which area received your highest rating?
Where could you use some attention? Which area received your lowest rating?
What’s one small change you could make this October to improve your well-being before the holiday season arrives?
You don’t have to change everything at once. Choose one area to focus on and one realistic step you can take this week.
Maybe it’s taking a walk after lunch, getting to bed 20 minutes earlier, adding protein to breakfast, or scheduling time for something you’ve been putting off.
Choose something realistic. Make it easy to start. Give yourself the opportunity to build on it.
Remember, this isn’t about achieving a perfect score. It’s about paying attention to what you need and taking small steps toward feeling your best.
